Details
While other rock bands have sung about revolution, The Plastic People of the Universe have actually inspired it. Persecuted in the 1970s by the communist regime in Czechoslovakia, the Plastics were forced to build their own equipment from radio parts and play underground concerts in barns. The Plastics ' undying commitment to music, however, encouraged the dissident movement that swept the communists from power in 1989. Now, the Bay Area will have the rare opportunity to witness "the greatest obscure rock band of all time" when the Plastic People of the Universe perform at Slim's on October 9th.

Joining The Plastics at the Slim's will be Little Cow, Hungary's premier gypsy/ska/funk/party band. Little Cow has achieved renowned in their home country with their hit "Cyber Boy". Fresh off of a six week European tour, San Francisco's own Diego's Umbrella with open the show with their fun mix of experimental Latin pop.
