Saint Vitus are a highly influential American doom metal band from Los Angeles. They have been regarded as one of the first bands of the genre, starting out as early as the late 1970s, along with Pentagram and Trouble. For most of their career, the band comprised vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich, bassist Mark Adams, guitarist Dave Chandler and drummer Armando Acosta. After breaking up in 1996, Saint Vitus briefly reunited for a tour in 2003, and are back together again as of 2008 with Henry Vasquez of the band Blood of the Sun on drums.
Support this evening comes from Hammers of Misfortune, Walken, and the 70s sounds of Stone Axe from Washington.

One Hundred Suns gathered in the height of the sweltering summer season of 2004. In the month of August the 5 elements came together to create a devastating explosion of sound. With the current vein of war and destruction, the atomic threats looming over mankind, the fire of One Hundred Suns was born. A sonic explosion intoxicating the senses with the compound of volatile character and thought, a sonic wave erupts, stripping the flesh and rendering bone to ash as it passes from horizon to horizon. The 5 elements of One Hundred Suns drive hard into the human condition to lay it all to waste.

Grayceon is an atypical three-piece from San Francisco comprised of electric cello, guitar, drums, and vocals. Pulling together an extremely diverse range of musical influences and writing styles, Grayceon's sound defies the boundaries of the metal/rock/progressive genres. Screaming melodic lines over distinct guitar "chunk," doom riffs, jazz chord progressions, intricate folk-like delicacies, and just about everything in between can be found in a single Grayceon track. The cello proficiency and the guitar finger picking style alone are unprecedented in heavy music. And although the vocals are sparse and the drumming unconventional, all elements are intertwined effortlessly to give the arrangements a fluid feel that may not be present in less able hands. Alternate low tuning both on cello and guitar also contribute to their unique sound.
Since 2006, Grayceon have been recording and performing nationally, and have received critic's praise for their self-titled debut CD (Vendlus), their 7" split (The End) with friends, Giant Squid, and now their sophomore release, "This Grand Show" which was released November 2008 (Vendlus).

Portland, Oregon-based cathartic guitar-driven, melodic pop, indie-rock outfit The Wanteds are Tommy Harrington (vocals/guitar), Ryan Mullen (bass), and Adam Mack (drums). But, this wasn't always the case. For awhile, the band was only Harrington, a guitar, a laptop, a minivan, and his own demons - both pushing him to excel and fighting him at every turn. It was a ride that Harrington weathered into the band's forthcoming full-length, "Failure Looks So Good", set for release September 23, 2008.
"On some level, we all walk through life with a basic desire to be wanted. To be loved. And it's really easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the things we want will somehow fix us or make us happy and bring us closer to that goal. If I only had, whatever, then I'd be happy," Harrington says, discussing the band's name.
"It's an irony of life. We desire things in hopes that we'll feel desired."
borts minorts will totally change the way you think about a rock show. His incredible infectious energy and undeniably unique presentation re-invigorates and satirizes himself and the format in one fell swoop. Challenging the audience to become part of the experience is just one aspect of this performers mission, and the dancers have the uncanny ability to actually make modern dance moves seem unpretentious and fun. If there is any sense of humor left in your jaded hipster soul you will come away from this show entertained and rocked.
