and The Church being a one hit wonder is moderately debatable. how many alternative bands even had a top 40 song? 'Reptile' just might be a better song.
should be titled "The Church", per slim's calendar: http://www.slims-sf.com/slims-bin/showcal?date=2009-06 Odd that Slim's is charging $28 for this 80's one-hit-wonder...
FREE CD!!!!! Every ticket holder will receive a free copy of Deadman's Hand, the third EP from the Untitled #23 album. This EP will include the title track and unreleased tracks from the band's secret vault, a must have for all church fans and collectors.
And this of course is not the Aussie band The Church. It is Church (without the definite article) and here is something about them- http://www.myspace.com/songforcecrystal
If you're thinking about going to this show but haven't made up your mind--do it. I've seen the Church more than a dozen times and they're amazing live.
It is free and it is in GG Park. I believe GAMH has some connection to this festival as it is often mentioned in the weekly e-mails I get from them.
There's a little more info at www.strictlybluegrass.com and as I recall that site will be populated with more and more information as it gets closer to the date of the concert.
