=====================================
This week at Killswitch: Solar (Sunset), IXD (Classy Concepts) & Mossmoss (Racecar,Nightlight)!

About Solar;

For those uninitiated, Solar is an SF underground favorite. As one of the main DJs of the legendary PacificSound/Sunset crew, and more recently of Bang the Box, Solar's unique style draws upon on influences from the traditional deep and funky sounds of San Francisco, the futuristic techno-soul of Detroit and the jacking tracks of Chicago. Having played all around the country and abroad, Solar still recognizes that "there is no place like home", and acknolwedges that San Francisco will always be his favorite place to play. Not much needs to be said about Solar: if you've been rocking out in the park, on a boat party, or at an underground, chances are Solar is the one behind the decks.

About IXD:

After years on the competitive record-hoarding and slinging circuits, IXD has found himself ensconced in the inside-the-inner-circle and after-the-after parties of the San Francisco Techno Community. An original member of the controversially named Black Market Techno posse, he has been bringing his unique take on techno to the lucky few for years. Now specifically affiliated to the Classy Concepts and Bayunderground flags, 2009 is looking to be a breakout year for both his production and DJ'ing. Preferring a strict approach to remaining underground, IXD has totally devastated rooms with no audience as an opening act for many techno notables from San Francisco and Detroit alike. Deep basses, subtle melodies and searing claps exemplify the hallucinatory tableau set forth for an audience of true believers. Look forward to an all-new set to rival his now-respected Halloween at Anu performance. IXD brings an uncompromising mind to the techno format, and is ready to take big risks and accept the gaudy trappings of notoriety.

About Mossmoss:

Mossmoss brings a breath of fresh air to a club scene that is usually bent on taking itself too seriously. Scottish born, Mattie Bowen has been essential in the growth of techno and actively inspires audiences through art visually and aurally. His pursuits all deeply exude a level of class, compassion, and charisma. His own breed of minimal techno born from the bedrooms and studios of San Francisco offers a hint of a vast repertoire to come that inspires the mind and body simultaneously. Mossmoss was one of three artists featured on Race Car Productions Volume 1, their virgin effort. Since then he released an absolute powerhouse of a remix for Monocle's Dilleniidae which stole dancefloors the world over in 2007. With a wide open career in both art and music, and a new EP on Alland Byallo's NLMX net label, Mossmoss will become a household name."
