As you can see this is no longer a Rogue Wave show and it is now free as well. Rogue Wave has been indefinitely postponed.

In lieu of the benefit The Independent will be holding a free show this Friday night. “The Recession Proof Party” features local favorites minipop, Birds & Batteries, The Botticellis and Vin Sol.

“hey guys: to those of you beautiful people who bought tickets to the benefit show at the independent on 11/7, i am sad to say we have to postpone the show until ‘09. i badly injured my neck and arm in september and it is looking as though i may need surgery to try to fix the problem. this means i will be out of commission for at least the rest of the year.

hopefully, i will be back in fighting shape in the new year and ready to make it up to you. please take care of yourselves. we will be back, i promise.

The show will be super awesome, but LA gets the same four bands plus The Ting Tings. LA can suck it. Ok, I am jealous. I am going to cry a little bit and then enjoy the fuck out of this killer lineup.

This show is going to be awesome - Mates of State and Low vs Diamond are opening (add it Gabe!). Tickets on sale tomorrow (9/3) at 10am.
