X-Rated Porno Machine, In Honor Of, Coastline Observatory

What started as a basement leisure project between two friends driven by their love for music, came to its final form about a year later under the name Coastline Observatory(2005). Although still experimenting musically with instruments and what ever they could get their hands on, Coastline Observatory picked at the time what seemed to be a good sample of their music, recording a demo CD at SCA studios (Athens). 60 hours of recordings later and completion of the work by the end of the summer of 2006 turned out to be a big learning experience for the band, giving them a better view of what they want to accomplish musically and fueling their ambition for an upcoming full length CD. Starting their live show series in Athens, Coastline Observatory opened for Shai Hulud (Metal Blade Records). shortly afterward things started to take a different turn, realizing that the potential was there for something more the band decided to move to Bay Area California and push themselves further than they ever have before.
