Now, the Dance.Here.Now. crew, in association with Pacha New York, Massive Event, Glo Fridays, and Cielo, is giving that devil on your shoulder his own motive for staying put in New York this July 4th weekend.
The DANCE.HERE.NOW. FESTIVAL is taking over Governor’s Island for an unforgettable four days and nights of epic parties with the world’s top DJs, with a sonic and visual onslaught by festival specialists AG Light & Sound.
From trance to glitch, big beat to electro-house, the roster features a huge span of styles and talents, all uniting under the blue skies of downtown NYC in a first-of-its-kind open-air festival in a historic venue.
No rushing from stage to stage to catch 30 minutes of your favorite act: DHN is dedicating entire days/nights to individual talents and their hand-picked support staffs. With big names like this, the DHN crew couldn’t imagine doing anything different.

DIRECTIONS:
Start at Pier 11, located at the corner of South Street & Wall Street, New York, NY. Take the Governors Island ferry - free with your ticket. You're there!
Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi's will leave every hour from Pier 11. Additional pickup locations may be added. The closest subway stationsare: 1 at South Ferry, W at South Ferry, and 5 at Bowling Green. It is also a short walk from the Wall Street Area. Various city bus lines also service the Battery Park Area with stops near the ferry terminal. Taxis and car may pull directly in front of the terminal for drop offs only. A musical ambassador since he was in short trousers, a professional DJ since his early teens, a veteran of acid house and a champion of techno, Carl Cox emits a love of his work that is dangerously infectious. Check him when he's behind the turntables and you can't mistake his ecstatic visage, dripping with sweat as his head bobs up and down to the beat, his hands pumping the air whenever they're not manipulating the turntables, his body swaying back and forth, frequently taking to the mike to share word on the latest underground tune he's about to break. You name it, Carl's been there and done it, but he's never lost sight of the point of it: playing music, breaking tunes, spreading love, celebrating life.
After Cox received last year's 'Best Ibiza Club Night' at the Ibiza DJ awards for his Space residency, 'The King of Clubs' title seemed like a well-deserving name for this year's residency. And this season was the busiest and most talked about yet! Now Cox has adopted this theme for his ongoing tours with North and South America, followed by a trip to the Far East before he returns to his adopted home in Australia, where he'll return to his newfound love affair with motor bikes!
