I went to the first benefit for Natasha about a year and a half ago. It was a good show.
It's interesting that these folks have this big expensive benefit that they know their fans will pay a buttload to see, but then they never mention any of the politics behind it. It's meant to help out Natasha's husband Alain, who can't pay her medical bills now that she's gone. Josh Homme never says anything to encourage fans to support healthcare reform / a public option / single payer healthcare -- things that would all prevent medical bankruptcy from happening to other people, people like you and me. I guess they feel like as long as they can take care of their own friends, screw fixing the system.
By the way, Billy Gibbons was a no-show at the last one, even though he was near the top of the bill.
