The departure point has changed– boats are no longer leaving Pier 11, but instead from the Battery Maritime Building.
The Battery Maritime Building is located at 10 South Street in downtown Manhattan, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry. Take the Governors Island ferry - free with your ticket. You're there!
Getting to Governors Island is just a quick, 5-minute boat ride away. The event will be accessible via New York Water Taxi. The Water Taxi's will leave every hour from The Battery Maritime Building. Additional pickup locations may be added. The closest subway stations are: 1 at South Ferry, 4, 5 at Bowling Green and R at Whitehall St. Station. Various city bus lines also service The Battery Maritime Building with stops near the ferry terminal. You may take the M1, M6, M9 and M15. Taxis and car may pull directly in front of the terminal for drop offs only. There is garage parking across the street from the Battery Maritime Building for a fee.
Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2008 - Jack Johnson, the Verve, the Raconteurs, the Breeders, Ap...
Fri 4/25 @ Empire Polo Field, Indio
Aphex is on Friday
I wonder if he'd headline? I saw him a few years back at all tomorrows parties and he kinda went second fiddle iirc to the boredoms. He also tries to keep such a low profile, esp. when it comes to performing.
I'm hoping that it's not Portishead day, as it would likely interfere with Portishead or Kraftewerk
Aphex Twin was added to the lineup, not sure on which day yet though. Hopefully Portishead day.
Fortunately, every month there are a lot of events where one can enjoy his time and entertain his self. For example, there are great events that worth attendance like Coachella which provides different kinds of entertainment. And really this festival is ultimately attended. But every time in such hot events the problem of tickets is disturbing. Lately, I discovered an interesting website where to compare ticket prices for free and I find that it’s a great idea because this way I can find the cheapest offer. Here it is: http://www.ticketwood.com/concerts/Coachella-Music-Festival-2008-1-Day-Pass-Tickets/index.php
I just read the most hilarious thing on the interwebs re: people complaining about Jack Johnson headlining Coachella. "Jack Johnson makes Coldplay look like Cannibal Corpse".
