Saturday night will feature electro/rock hybrid MSTRKRFT. The duo of JFK and ALP have been breaking down the musical boundaries between punk, electro, disco, and more since their work with rock project, Death From Above 1979. Since then, MSTRKRFT has released their well received debut LP �The Looks�, remixed tracks for the likes of Justice, Chromeo, and Armand Van Helden (to name a few), and excited dance floors the world over with their extraordinary performances. Expect a new album from MSTRKRFT soon!
Electropop will also feature a number of local talents, including blasthaus residents. And along with the musical portion of the festival, the two-night showcase will include interactive art installations by Bay Area new media artists along with blasthaus' low-tech gaming initiative BOLT (Bureau of Low Technology). Come be a part of history with Electropop, the first annual electronic music showcase at Noisepop Music, Film and Arts Festival.

Seen Bonobo DJ many times. If your definition of chill = dance your ass off, then yes, it will be a VERY chill evening. Guaranteed good time, just not so sure bout the venue.

Bootie SF has just added 1st Saturdays to its schedule, so starting this month, Bootie is officially now a weekly party! Helping to kick off our first 1st Saturday party will be Bootie LA resident DJs Paul V. and Shyboy, who are coming up to present '80s vs. Electropop Night! From Madonna to Gaga, Rick Astley to Robyn, Bon Jovi to Britney, and Steve Perry to Katy Perry, Bootie will be paying tribute to both old and new. Opening DJ Mad Murdock will help get the night kicked off.
On first Saturday, the stage will be open for dancing ALL night -- but that doesn't mean we're not doing a Midnight Mashup Show! Paying tribute to tonight's theme will be Miss Rahni, as she takes the spotlight to channel some Whitney Houston mashed up with Kylie Minogue! And in the upstairs room, DJ Shakey and Barney Iller - two of New York City's DJ elite - will be spinning a sexy mix of fun and funky remixes, old-skool hip-hop, danceable rock, Baltimore breaks, Prohibition-style electro-swing, and vintage soul.
Launched in 2003 in San Francisco by A Plus D -- aka DJs Adrian & Mysterious D - Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup -- and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities on four continents. Keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, Bootie mixes and matches every conceivable musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party where everyone feels welcome, providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation ... and free mashup CDs, given away like candy!
