i am soooo pissed at myself for procrastinating on picking up tickets. i went to the Slim's box office yesterday and only $40 dinner tix are left at this point. of course, the scalper sharks on craigslist are already asking for more than that.

so, of course, gotta say, anyone out there last minute who can't go and has a spare ticket, lemme know!

Gabe was Señor Grumpy at BOTH last time around, but I now own Hunky Dory as a result! I actually really liked the set, but the band needs to learn how to play an encore instead of having the last song evolve into a dance party and leaving everyone wondering if they are going to come back out. I will check them out at Slim's, especially if they can pull good openers like last time.

They had trouble pulling the sound together live. I think the new album sounds a little too much like hunky dory.

wow, walked out, really? what was so bad about it? i'm actually really liking the new album overall. it's a little spotty but still very listenable i think. since there's so much 'studio production' tweaking involved in it, i could see how maybe it might not translate all that well live possibly. was that it?

Mannn i've been listening the the "Time to Pretend" ep over and over again. I'm not into the new album 'cept that Electric Feel song. I actually walked out of their BotH hill last month. Maybe this'll be better?
