phew, forgot about it, remembered this morning, almost had an heart attack thinking it will be sold-off....but got my tix!!!
Section G of the balcony though I think....so far right?
Something very fishy is going on here. There are major cities that have had tixs on sale for longer in smaller venues, and they still have plenty of seats.
Nick Cave has a devoted following and all -- but selling out the Warfield in 2hrs? I don't think so. What's with all of the $163 tixs on TicketBastard's new legalized scalping site, TicketsNow? I'm usually no conspiracy theorist, but I smell horseshit.
Per a not-so-great entry in WIkipedia:
As of May 18th the warfield was no longer Bill Grahams. The final show was Phil Lesh and it ran until 3:30am on Monday the 19th. The venue has been closed until renovations are completed.
I stumbled on a blog or two that references the Phil Lesh show so it looks like there's some validity to that and given the lack of press I am going to guess that it is not permanently closed. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll raise the stage and make the entire floor one open floor.
@David It seems pretty open. I read some rumors of it becoming a house of blues, but that doesnt seem like it's the case right now. They have a full schedule still and are selling tickets.
