The San Francisco sextet Maus Haus makes mirthfully morbid '60s-inspired neo electro on top of spastic whirring synths, keys, drums and bass guitar. Los Angeles duo Rainbow Arabia fuses Afrobeat with belly-dance percussion and tops it with sweet, seductive serenades that would charm a snake. Bay Area pair Pierre Le Robot perform facing each other, obliging its dual keyboards to kiss.
