SonicLiving is Way Totally | it's true!
Hey, SonicLiving. How do I.....
Add artists from my iTunes to my Wishlist?

Use our handy dandy iTunes scan. From your Home Page or your Wishlist view, click "Add more Artists" and then click the big orange button that says "Click to add Artists from iTunes." We'll scan the artists in your iTunes Library, and you can pick and choose which ones you want to leave in or out with the checkboxes provided. It'll take a minute to scan your library if you're a big music nerd, so beeee patient! Once scanned, you'll also have easy options to keep all artists or none, keep artists with more than one song, or artists with more than five songs.

When you scan your iTunes, you'll need to click the Java applet that pops up to say you trust us. SonicLiving respects your privacy. We'll trust-fall with you to prove it.

Add more artists to my Wishlist?

You can update or add artists to your Wishlist as often as you like by re-scanning your iTunes, adding them manually, adding them from other people's pages, or using the Pandora and Last.fm syncing.

Remove an artist from my Wishlist?

On your Wishlist page, your artists are organized alphabetically on the left-hand side. Find the artist you're having problems with, and click the green check to erase them from your life. Anytime you want to add them back on, just click the plus wherever you see the Artist's name.

Create new events?

First, make sure the event isn't already up! You can do this by checking out upcoming events at the venue, or searching for an Artist's name. If we're not hip to it after all, add it in and we will kiss you! Click on "Events" and then add an event with the big orange button that says "Create a New Event." Make sure you include an event URL where people will be able to purchase tickets. Right now, the best way to create a reoccurring event is to click "Back" on your browser and change the date. We are working on a reoccurring event feature so hang tight!

Search for events?

If you heard about something cool and you want to find out the deal, search for an Artist or Venue in the corner search bar. If you're just looking for the awesomest thing to do tonight, click Events, and then "Today" to see what's happening. From this page, you can also Browse our featured events, what's most popular, or what's going on for the rest of the month.

Add an event to my SonicLiving calendar?

You can fill up your calendar by clicking "I'm interested" on any event if you might check it out or "Confirm" if you know you're going.

Find a show that's listed on a venue's website but not on SL? And what's that about?

SonicLiving hears about shows immediately allllmost all the time. Occasionally there is a couple day-long gap between when venues schedule shows and when either tickets go on sale and/or we get them in our database. Users are always welcome to post shows if you want to let everybody know right away and we really appreciate it.

How do I add photos to an event?

Have some show photos you want to add to SonicLiving? If you add them to Flickr Photo Sharing with the magical "tag" on the event's details page they'll appear for all to see.

But, wait... where???

Take photos at this show!
Add this tag to Flickr photos:

See that? You will find the same thing on any event details page.

View events in other regions?

Use the corner search bar to look up any Artist and you'll see all the events they have coming up in every Metropolitan area, under "Events" in the sidebar. This way, if you're just visiting, or following The Dead to Chicago, you can just add out-of-town shows to your calendar without changing your region. To browse all the events coming up in a particular region, change your city temporarily and you can always get back to home sweet home after you've added some stuff.

Change the region (or add a region) that I get show notifications about?

Under your preferences, you can check as many regions as you like or switch over. Once you've switched, your home page will reflect local users and events. If you check a bunch of boxes, your Wishlist emails are going to be quite long...since they'll list all the cool events you want to hear about all over every place **should be the regions you selected, not over every place**. See below for adding events in other towns without changing your region.

Use your site when my city isn't listed yet? What the hell?

We're adding new cities all the time! If you come, we will build it. Let us know where you live and what's going on, and we'll work on adding your town. Once we've added it, we'll send you and email letting you know!

Watch videos or listen to music by a particular artist?

Search for an Artist in the corner search bar or click on the Artist's name from anywhere you see it on the site. You will be transported to a magical wonderland of YouTube videos, iTunes store samples, upcoming shows, articles about the Artist, and your own special club of other SonicLiving folks who like that Artist too. It's just like. It's just like. A mini-mall!
